Experience Eastern Wellness And Pampering At Yuan Spa In Washington
You’ve probably heard the expression “Self-care isn’t selfish.” We’ll add that not only is it unselfish, in these strange and often stressful times, it’s flat-out necessary. And while self-care goes far beyond pampering yourself, the fact is, nothing quiets your mind and relaxes your body like a trip to the spa.
Admittedly, it has been tough to keep track of all the closures and restrictions in Washington over the last year. But Bellevue’s Yuan Spa is open for business (albeit with some temporary exceptions), beautiful, pristine, and both safe and sanitary. Whether you’re a spa novice or a seasoned pro, you’ll love this relaxing, welcoming, luxurious but unpretentious environment.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
You'll find Yuan Spa on the corner of 106th Avenue NE and NE 10th Street in Bellevue.
A second location will be opening in Kirkland later this year.
Founded by a Chinese American with a passion for wellness, Yuan Spa blends the foundations of Asia’s ancient healing philosophies with the modern spa technologies of the West.
And currently, the team here is taking an abundance of precautions to help everyone stay healthy. Temperature checks and wellness forms are essential, and the employees wear masks and face shields for treatments (face coverings are required for guests as well). The staff members also wear single-use aprons they change between each guest, and capacity is limited for the time being.
It's hard not to feel more relaxed just walking through this serene space.
The hydrotherapy area definitely gives off an East meets West vibe, between the bamboo detailing and the magnificent hand-blown glass cascading from the ceiling.
When you book a treatment at Yuan, it's normally suggested to come early and enjoy all the benefits of hydrotherapy. Unfortunately, this part of the spa is temporarily closed, but it will re-open again as soon as possible.
Once you step inside these walls, you'll want to forget your stress and enter a relaxed state of mind. And with a hot pool, cool pool, cold drench shower, cedar sauna, and eucalyptus steam room at your disposal, relaxation will come easily.
Have we mentioned the eucalyptus steam room is adorned with relaxing twinkly lights?
The spa provides guests with a luxurious sea salt blend to use for salt scrubs, and this is the perfect place to come after you've scrubbed to let your skin absorb all the minerals.
Fortunately, the actual spa treatments at Yuan are still open, and they're wonderful.
The lengthy list of massages is tough to choose from -- but if you want every muscle to melt, treat yourself to a CBD Massage. You can also go for a therapeutic body treatment, a scrub or wrap, a facial, or even some ASMR Tranquility Therapy to truly relax.
The best part is, you can take your spa experience home with you.
