The Washington Store That’s In The Middle Of Nowhere But So Worth The Journey
Part of the fun of exploring Washington is discovering the gems that lie hidden in the small rural communities or along the backroads. And while you may or may not have heard of the town of Thorp, you’ve almost certainly seen its crowning glory if you’ve taken I-90 through Kittitas County. The next time you see Thorp Fruit & Antique Mall from the road, do yourself a favor and stop to check it out.
The Thorp Fruit & Antique Mall is located at 220 Gladmar Road in Thorp.
They've been in business for over 65 years and have been run by three generations of family.
The owners' pride and joy is the collection of fresh local fruit.
They buy direct from the growers, so you'll see fresh seasonal fruit at affordable prices.
Of course, fruit isn't the only thing this store is known for.
The store always carries a large collection of antiques and collectibles, all of which are in great condition.
The owners know some of the best antique dealers in the state, and it shows.
If you can pull yourself away from the antiques (it's not easy, we know) you'll also find a great variety of specialty items here.
They sell cheese, espresso, ice cream, wine from the PNW, and other delicacies.
Although you may want to wait until your favorite fruit is in season to go, the Thorp Fruit & Antique Mall stays open all year, so you can check it out anytime.
Antiques and vintage items are always in season.
Have you been to the Thorp Fruit & Antique Mall? It’s great to see our state relics still standing strong–like
these charming general stores that have stood the test of time.
