The general store opened in 1916. Back then, Port Gamble was a mill town, and this store provided residents with groceries, dry goods and a place to get the lateset community news and gossip.

The general store has everything from toys to souvenirs.






And the little sign above it is surely sage advice - I'm sure most school teachers would agree 😉

There's a cozy dining room inside, but on a beautiful day, what better place to dine than the waterfront deck?

It's free for visitors to wander through.

The store is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm; Friday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
