1. Zombiez, Vashon
This family-friendly diner is zombie-themed, and features tons of delicious options to sink your teeth into. Try their hand-battered fish sandwich with some fresh cut fries, the fish & chips, chicken tenders, burgers, or one of their many rotating ice cream flavors.
2. Andreas Keller, Leavenworth
Located in downtown Leavenworth, this Bavarian restaurant provides an authentic German experience without having to leave the country. Their restaurant features traditional German food, plus a wide selection of beers and a festive dining area to enjoy it all in.
3. The Octopus Bar, Seattle (Wallingford)
If you're over 21, you can get on board in this nautical/pirate-themed bar & gastropub in the Wallingford neighborhood for a fantastic drink & flatbread pizza. Try a Shipwrecked Molly cocktail (garnished with a Swedish fish) and one of their S.S. Minnow flatbreads with rosemary, Parmesan, and Feta or bacon.
4. Lost Roo, Long Beach
Out by the coast you can find this unique Aussie-themed bar and restaurant inspired by the Land Down Under. They offer traditional grill food on the menu, a great variety of revolving Northwest wines, beers and spirits, as well as HDTVs for the sports fans.
5. Skyway Cafe, Spokane
This cozy cafe at Felts Field features diner meals in huge portions and plenty of aviation decor, including a number of airplanes hanging from the ceiling. Being right next to the airport, you'll also be able to catch some awesome views of the runway just outside the window.
6. AFK Tavern, Everett
If you love games and great food, this themed tavern north of Seattle will take your dining experience to a whole new level. Between the one-of-a-kind gaming menu featuring great food to their board games and video games up for play, it's pretty hard to not spend hours here.
7. Little Jerry's, Tacoma
Fans of the '90s show Seinfeld will love this diner-style restaurant themed after the old sitcom. Their delicious menu items are even named after episodes and characters from the hit show, like The "Georgey Boy Burger" or "The Kramerica" with hashbrowns, an English muffin or biscuit, tomato, spinach, crispy bacon, two eggs and hollandaise sauce.
8. Yellow Church Cafe, Ellensburg
You don't even need to be religious to find the fare at this cafe absolutely heavenly. In addition to their vaulted ceilings & choir loft tables in the beautifully reclaimed church, this unique spot serves mouthwatering burgers, breakfast and sweet desserts.
9. Green Light Diner, Poulsbo
This charming diner in our state's Little Norway features an old-fashioned theme from the 1950s. With breakfast served all day, a vintage soda fountain and comfy booths & chairs, it makes for a memorable retro experience.
10. Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining, Elbe
How could you not want to dine on a meal inside of an old railroad car? This historic train-turned-restaurant features a terrific menu including burgers like the Mushroom Swiss, and they even have a seasonal beer garden.
