The Olympic Peninsula is pretty isolated from the rest of the state, and the Hoh takes awhile to reach no matter what part of Washington you call home. But if you've ever walked through the Hall of Mosses, you know it's well worth it.
Located in Chelan County, Stehekin is so remote that it requires a lengthy hike or a ferry just to reach. You won't get cell service. And for some people, that makes it the perfect vacation spot.

Lopez Island is one of the more remote San Juan islands. It's rural, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful.

Kachess Lake is located near Cle Elum, but you'll have to head a little further west on I-90 and follow Kachess Lake Road for quite a while to find it. Once you're there, hike the short, mile-long trail to get the best views.
This hidden gem is nestled in the hills between Olympia and the coast. Featuring plenty of hiking trails and places to camp, it's a beautiful (and often quiet) place to spend a weekend.
