This Family Restaurant In Washington Is Worth A Trip To The Country
There’s just something about hopping in the car and heading out for a drive to see where the open road will take you. There’s so much to see and so many places to explore in the beautiful state of Washington. Backroads might lead you to an arid scenic byway, a magical rainforest, or a previously undiscovered old west town. The Evergreen State is abundant in kitschy charm, beautiful landscapes, and blink-and-you-might-miss-it roadside attractions. Along some of our state’s highways and byways, you’ll find charming small towns with some of the best food in the state to satisfy your hunger during those long road trips. We’ve found such a place nestled in the Kittitas County of Central Washington and we just know you’re going to love it!
In the tiny town of Kittitas, Washington, in a small, unassuming building, you'll find the Kittitas Cafe, a family restaurant and coffee house, just minutes from Ellensburg.
The quaint cafe is owned and operated by Jack and Mackenzie, who met in Australia and set their sites on opening a restaurant in Mackenzie's hometown of Kittitas.
The coffee is ethically sourced and delicious. Seasonal espresso drinks like gingerbread lattes with house-made gingerbread sauce are a favorite among regulars.
