7 Places In Washington Where You’re Most Likely To Spot A Celebrity

Celebrities are just like the rest of us, other than their fame and their bank accounts. Still, it’s kind of exciting when we spot one, especially since Washington is not exactly close to Hollywood. Plenty of famous people are either from or currently have homes in the Evergreen State. And they’ve been spotted nearly everywhere, but especially in these seven places.

1. Seahawks games in Seattle

Rainn Wilson from The Office, who was raised in Washington, is a huge Seahawks fan and has been spotted at some of the home games. Will Ferrell, local legend Sir Mix-A-Lot and Seattle’s own Macklemore enjoy them on occasion as well.

2. Downtown Spokane

Numerous celebrities have been spotted in Spokane over the years, which makes sense since quite a few movies have been filmed there, at least in part. Cuba Gooding. Jr. was there a lot between 2006 and 2010, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis recently shot a music video there.

3. Wallingford, Seattle

This is the neighborhood that Dave Matthews calls home, and he’s often seen working out, grabbing dinner and running errands in the area.

4. The Bellingham area

Bellingham is close to some beautiful coastal areas that celebrities love to visit, and it’s also the home of Ryan Stiles, who is most famous for his time on The Drew Carey Show. Ryan has a home on Lake Samish and owns the Upfront Theater.

5. Walla Walla wineries

Did you know several famous people own wineries or have wine projects in Walla Walla? Kyle Machlachlan, a Yakima native, makes appearances to promote his "Pursued by Bear" at Dunham Cellars. Drew Bledsoe has Doubleback Wine at Leonetti Cellars.

6. Edmonds

Author, TV personality and travel expert Rick Steves has a home and business in Edmonds. When he’s not traveling through Europe, you’re likely to see him there.

7. West Seattle

It seems that celebrities love Alki Beach (and who wouldn’t?). Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder has a home near there, Conan O’Brien has been seen there numerous times (his wife is from Seattle) and lots of Seahawks and other local athletes have visited over the years.

Lots of famous people (Chris Pratt, Anna Farris, Kenny G, etc.) grew up in the Seattle area, so it's not uncommon for them to visit home.

Celebrities, both past and present, have homes all over our beautiful state. They can be tricky to spot since they like to blend in with everyone else, and understandably so.
