One of the best parts about the park is that there's an entire network of trails that will let you hike between the Atlantic Ocean and Sand Bay.

After a long day of exploring the park, there are few things more exhilarating than a dip in the ocean! Hikers should also keep in mind that some parts of the trail may be temporarily closed for wildlife preservation. The east/west trails are typically closed between November and March 1st for bird migration.
Plus, there's ample opportunity to spot some majestic wildlife. The marshy landscape is the perfect habitat for the likes of heron, otters, turtles, and even bald eagles.
