Here in Virginia, we take our apple products pretty seriously. Considering we’re home to the Apple Capital of the World and droves of family-run fruit orchards, this may come as no surprise. In fact, there’s an entire festival dedicated not just to apples, but all the delicious by-products of this incredible fruit. Most Virginians swear by these delicious seasonal treats and if you’re looking to get into the fall spirit, this festival is the perfect opportunity.
Tucked away in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains awaits Drumheller's Orchard, a fruit orchard that makes for a memorable visit any time of year.
This time of year, however, it's all about the apples. On Saturday, October 30th, visitors from near and far will make their way to Lovingston for a beloved seasonal celebration.
The annual Apple Harvest and Apple Butter Festival is the perfect excuse to visit this scenic orchard and treat yourself to all sorts of apple products.
Perhaps one of the most delicious products you can sample is the homemade apple cider. This delicious drink is non-pasteurized, meaning it's purely the juice from the apples and nothing else.
