11 Water Wonderlands In Vermont That Will Take Your Summer To A Whole New Level
Our winter gear is packed away and it’s time to turn our sights to summer fun. If you’re looking for some amazing places to cool down under the sun, these water wonderlands in VT are guaranteed to please. Have fun!
1. Alburg Dunes Beach, Alburg
The Alburg Dunes State Park was names after the sandy dunes of this natural beach. You'll love swimming at one of the longest beaches on Lake Champlain. Additionally, there are boat rentals and fly fishing here which give you even more things to do on the water.
2. Vermont River Tubing, Stockbridge
An easy and affordable way to stay cool this summer is a lazy river tubing trip. It's great for kids, too! They are open from mid-June to Labor Day so plan your trip ahead of time and start the summer right!
3. Silver Lake State Park, Barnard
Barnard is the perfect place to spend a quintessential Vermont day. Head to the water in the Silver Lake State Park for boat rentals for a day
on the water or jump off the pier for a day in the water.
4. Warren Falls, Warren
This is one of the most popular swimming holes in Vermont, and it's no wonder why. You'll find lovely falls, places to jump in and calm areas so there is something for everyone.
5. Camp Plymouth State Park, Plymouth
Most people associate Plymouth with the birthplace of Calvin Coolidge, but a trip to Camp Plymouth State Park is not to be missed. You'll love the clear water, sandy beach and beautiful sunsets here.
6. Jay Peak Pump House, Jay
Rain or shine, the Jay Peak Pump House is always a blast. Surf, slide and float the day away at this fun filled water park.
7. Three Holes swimming hole, Montgomery
This lovely swimming hole is also known as Three Holes or officially the Trout River Falls. The swirling pools and serene falls will make your trip epic and truly one of a kind.
8. Clyde River Recreation, West Charlston
Here you'll find over 150 canoes, kayaks, paddle boards for your awesome water adventure. Stick around in their area, or have them deliver your boats to a different spot, paddling has never been easier.
9. Bingham Falls, Stowe
The hike here is short but steep, and it's worth every step. Whether you simply admire the waterfall, or you take a swim in this spring fed swimming hole, this is one place for the memory books.
10. Dorset Quarry, Dorset
This incredible spot has been written up by many major publications, hence the dramatic increase in popularity through the years. Please note that this area is privately owned and use it with respect. Don't leave trash and jump at your own risk. That being said, it's a truly incredible experience!
11. Smugglers' Notch Resort, Jeffersonville
This family friendly resort has many places to cool down this summer. You'll love the outdoor waterpark with slides and heated pool.
