Vermont is full of hidden gems, and when it comes to under the radar restaurants, VT has plenty of those too. You know those places that when you find them you wonder where they’ve been all your life? Well we thought we’d speed up the introductions. Here are 11 places that are simply scrumdiddlyumptious.

1. Jericho Cafe & Tavern - 30 Vermont Rte 15, Jericho
The Jericho Cafe & Tavern, or JCat as the locals call it, has a great vibe and even better food. This neighborhood café has it all when it comes to breakfast, lunch and dinner, all with great service and a super friendly atmosphere.
2. Worthy Kitchen - 442 E Woodstock Road, Woodstock
This restaurant is just off the beaten path when it comes to the quaint town of Woodstock. The menu is written on a chalkboard and there are no servers which makes it less formal than many other places in the area, but if you're looking for an absolutely fantastic meal, this is "worthy" of a stop.
3. Black Sheep Bistro - 253 Main Street, Vergennes
You'll love the European feel at this cozy place. The food is beyond fantastic (try the duck!) and the service is top notch.
4. Eaton's Sugar House - 5894 VT Route 14, South Royalton
The looks on the outside are deceiving, as this is a magical place inside. Along with great breakfasts and lunches, they have maple products and assorted gifts for sale. Just one look at these pancakes and you know you'll have fun here!
5. Up For Breakfast - 4935 Main Street, Manchester Center
You likely won't stumble upon this place since you literally have to go "up" to Up For Breakfast. Everything is wonderful and if the apple cinnamon crepes are on the menu while you're there - you're in luck!
6. Mad Taco - 2 Village Square, Waitsfield
Taco Tuesdays are even better since Mad Taco came on the scene. The tacos are awesome, the sauces are delicious and they have a great beer selection to wash it all down.
7. 275 Main - 275 Main Street, Warren
The Pitcher Inn isn't just a fabulous place to stay - the food at 275 Main is absolutely divine! If you're looking for a romantic restaurant or a great place to go spend a celebration, this is your place.
8. Black Krim Tavern - 21 Merchants Row, Randolph
Whether you go for Wine & Cheese Wednesday or for a full night on the town, you'll love the Black Krim Tavern. The only thing better than the gorgeous presentation is the taste. Get ready to be wowed.
9. Jessica's - 25 Stewart Lane, Middlebury
This farm to table restaurant is located in the historic Swift House Inn in Middlebury. Wonderful menu selections and great wine list will pair together to make an absolutely fantastic destination. Save room for their unbelievable desserts!
10. Burger Barn - Jeffersonville
You'll flip for these local burgers and all the cheeses and fixings you could ever want at this local burger joint. Exceptional food, great service and no frills - it's all about the food here, folks.
11. Auntie Dee Dees Homemade Vermont Baked Goods - 185 Mountain Road, East Burke
If you want something sweet, go to Aunt Dee Dee's. If you want something savory, go to Aunt Dee Dee's. If you want an unbelievable treat, you guessed it - go to Aunt Dee Dee's. Get ready for some of the tastiest culinary creations at this little place in the NEK.
