The Most Beautiful Gorge In America Is Right Here In Vermont… And It Isn’t Quechee Gorge

Although it isn’t as grand as Quechee Gorge, Brewster River Gorge is just as special. Aside from its scenic landscape, this outdoor destination isn’t as crowded as the more popular Quechee Gorge. Therefore, it’s ideal for spending some peaceful time in nature without having to be around a lot of people. So, if you’re looking to be in a quiet spot in front with serene scenery (and a waterfall too), read on to learn more about Brewster River Gorge in Cambridge, Vermont.

To reach Brewster River Gorge, head to the Grist Mill Covered Bridge in Jefferson, Vermont to the trailhead. Since the entire hike is just under three miles, it'll take about an hour or so to complete.

Due to the weather conditions, the best time to visit Brewster River Gorge is between May and October.

Although it's not the tallest gorge in Vermont, the Brewster River Gorge is still impressive at 75 feet.

As you walk along the trail, take time to appreciate the lush greenery as you hike to (and through) the gorge.
