There's something about the casualness of the sandwich mixed with the ability to customize it any way you like that makes it such a timeless classic. And while Vermont has many sandwich shops throughout the state, most of them are usually limited to 8-12 sandwiches on the menu. However, this dive in Burlington takes its sandwiches very seriously and offers so many different types of sandwiches, that it'd take you more than a month to try them all if you ate one of them a day.
For sandwiches that are just as unique as they are delicious, check out Four Corners Of The Earth.
Four Corners Of The Earth has been serving out-of-this-world sandwiches to Burlington locals since 2000.
The famous Burlington deli is owned by Ladislav Pancisin, who finds inspiration for his sandwiches from around the world.
The restaurant is super divey and Pancisin made the kitchen counter himself out of an old bowling lane.
The walls of the restaurant are filled with artwork made by local artists.
There are more than 40 sandwich varieties to choose from, and while not all may be on the "official menu," Pancisin has the recipes for them stored in his head.
The real challenge is choosing which one to have that day.
With all of the sandwiches available, it's easy to want to come back to this spot to try something entirely new.
Four Corners has built such a cult following, that they now sell t-shirts and other merchandise for customers who want to show their sandwich loyalty.
The restaurant is cash only and in addition to food, it has four beers on tap.
Ready to chow down? Four Corners Of The Earth is open Thursday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Don't forget it's cash only, so be sure to bring some cash or a debit card to use at their onsite ATM.
