1. School Street Bistro - 13 School Street, Rochester
(Note: as of January 2021, this restaurant is permanently closed). The husband and wife team here sure care about the food here! Carefully chosen ingredients and beautifully prepared, this place will certainly make you come back again and again.
2. Pizza on Main, 53 Lower Main St., Morrisville
This little place is a great go-to whether you're looking to eat in or take out. Great food and friendly service, Pizza On Main clearly takes pride in their products.
3. Silver Fork - 4201 Main Street, Manchester
There are only 6 tables and 6 barstools at the Silver Fork, and you're guaranteed to feel special by the husband and wife team that do it all. A meal here is an unforgettable experience.
4. Handy's Lunch - 74 Maple Street, Burlington
This Burlington staple is run by the third generation. For over 60 years Handy's has been making fantastic meals, so see for yourself why UVM lists Handy’s Lunch as one of their "Top 25 Things to Do Before you Graduate."
5. Chauncey’s Family Dining - 5403 Rte 7A, Arlington
Family owned and family friendly! You'll get large portions with great prices and a huge selection of delicious dishes.
6. Seasons Restaurant - 4566 Main Street, Manchester Center
You'll love the fresh and flavorful meals at Seasons. It's wonderful to relax outside in the fresh air while enjoying the cozy atmosphere. From soup to nuts, this is a great spot.
7. Williamsville Eatery - 26 Dover Road, Williamsville
(Note: as of January 2021, this restaurant is permanently closed). Don't blink because you might miss this place cruising through Williamsville. The eatery is in the old general store, and the couple that owns it will make you feel right at home. Oh, and the pizza here is dynamite!
8. Three Stones - 105 Canal Street, Brattleboro
You'll feel like you're part of the family at this delicious restaurant. The recipes have been handed down in their family for centuries. Centuries!!!
9. The Sandwich Shoppe - 52 Merchants Row, Rutland
The family at the Sandwich Shoppe has been making mouth watering sandwiches since 1981. The hardest part here is choosing from the enormous menu!
10. Fire and Ice Restaurant - 26 Seymour Street, Middlebury
Fire and Ice has been locally and family owned since 1974. You'll love the delicious food and the eclectic decor is so much fun to check out.
11. Peasant - 40 Bridge Street, Waitsfield
The father-son team certainly work well together, because the food coming out of this kitchen is suburb. High quality meals, reasonably priced and fantastic, upbeat service.
