Are you craving an authentic, juicy and fresh burger? Are you sick of fast food? Or more likely, you can’t find a nearby McDonald’s because, well, you’re in Vermont? Check out these unbelievable burger joints, which are guaranteed to make your mouth water from the moment you enter the door.
1) Prohibition Pig, Waterbury
Just look at this mouthwatering one! It's known as "The Great White Buffalo," which honestly seems pretty fitting. You will definitely be able to find just the right drink to pair with it, as the selection of craft beers here is impeccable.
2) Burger Barn, Jeffersonville
You might see this joint in the Burlington South End traveling to local summer events. Once you try it you'll understand why everyone raves about it.
3) Three Penny Taproom, Montpelier
While you're visiting the capital, you have to make a stop at this joint. We'll let you sit in awe while you attempt to stretch your jaw wide enough to consume this one. Insider tip: Show up VERY hungry.
4) Bread and Butter Farm, Shelburne
Head over to Shelburne on Fridays during the summer for the infamous Burger Night. You can enjoy live music and kids events while eating a satisfying meal made completely with ingredients grown and raised right on the farm.
5) Farmhouse Tap & Grill, Burlington
This outstanding farm-to-table restaurant is one you'll truly remember. Since everything here is made right in Vermont, you'll feel just at home enjoying these fresh and juicy burgers.
6) The Shopping Bag Inc., Burlington
This shop in the Old North End has the most delicious burgers and is very affordable (and my personal favorite).
6) Blue Donkey, Stowe
Hitting the slopes or out for an awesome summer adventure in the mountains? Stop by Blue Donkey and refuel with an out-of-this-world burger (and a delicious milkshake) right outside on the beautiful patio.
7) Rozzi's Lakeshore Tavern, Colchester
With over 30 different burgers to choose from, you just can't go wrong...even if you choose the Elvis burger with peanut butter and bananas. Who is down to come here every day this month and try a new one with me?
8) Worthy Burger, South Royalton
If you're out and about in this Gilmore Girls style town, or in the mood for a little road trip, this place is absolutely worthy of the stop. You're sure to be impressed with the selection of burgers and types of meat. Of course this Venison French Dip (pictured above) is a popular one here in Vermont. Worthy Burger also proudly produces almost no waste!
9) Bar Antidote, Vergennes
Enjoying some live music while chowing down on this lobster cucumber basil burger sounds like the ideal night to me.
10) Al's French Frys
For the real diner experience, Al's is the place to go. To get the full experience, you must try their vinegar fries and milkshakes, of course.
It might even be worth reconsidering your diet for these delicious meals. Which is your go-to spot? Would you add any others to the list?
