You can choose all kinds of desserts for your Thanksgiving meal, but pie is the perfect, traditional treat. If you want to grace your table with one of the best pies in the Beehive State, you'll make a trip down to the tiny town of Veyo.
To find the best pies in the state, you'll need to travel to the tiny town of Veyo. It's located about 20 miles north of St. George.
Take UT-18 northbound, and soon you'll find a quaint little pie shop.
Veyo Pies opened more than 30 years ago. Over the decades, it's become world famous.
It's hard to imagine, but this tiny pie shop in a tiny town is visited by people from countries all over the world.
Of course, once you get a taste of these pies, you'll understand what all the fuss is about.
Every pie in the case is going to be amazing, but the specialty is the Veyo Volcano.
This decadent dessert has a graham cracker crust that's filled with sweet cream cheese, butterscotch, and chocolate. It's covered in whipped cream and decorated with more chocolate and butterscotch.
Veyo Pies offers a dozen different fruit pies, six cream pies, and five specialty pies.
Order a slice and dine outside at one of the picnic tables...
...or take a couple of pies home with you.
There's no better way to wrap up a holiday meal than with a couple Veyo pies, but you'll want to place your order soon.
Veyo Pies bakes hundreds of pies every season. You can place your Thanksgiving order starting on October 1st, and place your order for Christmas pies between December 4th - 18th.
Veyo Pies is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
The shop is closed for one week following Thanksgiving, and again for another week after Christmas. The folks there have to rest up after all that intense pie baking!
