This Charming Utah Restaurant Serves The Best Southern Food West Of The Rockies

Well, Utah is a long way from the South, but there’s a charming little restaurant here in South Jordan that offers some of the best Southern food that you’ll find west of the Rockies.

The Porch takes standard comfort food and gives it a unique twist. For instance, this buttermilk fried chicken is served with buttermilk whipped potatoes and cider-braised greens, but it's definitely more gourmet than you'll find in a tiny Southern diner - and much tastier!
For Saturday and Sunday brunch, try a Johnny cake. This delicious pancake-type cake is made in a cast-iron skillet. Get yours banana-filled and banana topped, served with candied pecans.
Visit The Porch seven days a week. They serve dinner Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and dinner afterwards.
