The summer is one of our favorite times to explore the Beehive State. All throughout Utah, there are dozens of tiny towns that come alive and tend to have a certain energy and excitement about them. Whether they offer summer festivals, are near the water, offer lots of outdoor recreational activities, and more, these are tiny towns you’ll certainly want to visit during the warmer months of the year.
Panguitch is not only an outdoor lover’s paradise as it sits just outside of Bryce Canyon National Park and near Panguitch Lake, but it is also home to some of the best small town festivals in Utah. During the summer, you can attend the annual Quilt Walk, where you will learn a little about Panguitch’s history, or the annual Hot Air Balloon Rally, where dozens of hot air balloons fill the skies.

When you want to get into the mountains and away from the city, Kamas is the place to go. This town is known as the "Gateway to the Uintas" and hundreds of people come each year to explore this area of the state. During your visit, take the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, one of the most beautiful scenic drives in Utah, to explore all types of lakes, trails, overlooks, and more. And, if you simply want to stay right in the heart of town, there are unique shops, restaurants, and other businesses to check out.
