Springdale, Utah Is Being Called One Of The Best Small Town Vacations In America
Esquire Magazine has been a staple on the American magazine shelf since the 1930’s, and has earned quite the reputation as the top men’s lifestyle magazine covering topics like fashion, cocktails, and travel. One of Esquire Magazine’s newest travel lists, Charming American Towns You Haven’t Heard of But Should Visit ASAP, put Springdale, Utah, at number three!
Esquire describes Springdale as "a small village where visitors can soak up the breathtaking mountain-scape as they enjoy dining at the local brewery or shopping at one of the many crystal and geode shops."
Springdale sits just south of Zion National Park and has a population under 400! But don't let its small size fool you - from the town's main street, you can see iconic rock formations on the horizon, unlike anything you've ever seen.
The town was first settled as a Mormon farming community, but has grown over the years to serve as a perfect stopping place for tourists heading to or from Zion National Park.
With such easy access to the mountains, Springdale is the perfect place to stop in for a meal at one of the many cute eateries that line the main street.
Springdale also has multiple adventure and guiding companies, so whether you want a guide for a hiking trip, or want to try your hand at rock climbing or canyoneering, stop by one of the many guiding operations found in the town.
While Springdale is the perfect place to stop to prep for your trip, it is also the perfect place to rest after a long day in nature. Musicians often play on the main strip, and nothing is quite as refreshing as sitting back and enjoying a nice meal on a patio with the rocks of Zion towering overhead.
Esquire put Springdale at number three for charming American towns you need to visit, and we aren’t even sure that number three is high enough! Have you been to Springdale? What was your favorite part of your visit?
