Halloween is the season for bone-chilling, hair-raising terror, and the Beehive State has no shortage of haunted houses. There’s one that’s scarier than most, and you can visit it starting this weekend!
If you travel through Salt Lake City very often, you've likely seen the strange-looking castle on 1300 S. and 320 W. It definitely looks out of place for most of the year...
...but during Halloween season, this place turns into one of the scariest haunted houses in the country. America's Haunts rated it as one of the top 5 scariest in the United States!
It will take you about an hour to go through the entire attraction, and during that time you can expect sweaty palms, hair standing up on the back of your neck, and an increased heart rate. If that's not enough, try the X-Scream attraction, where the actors inside can actually touch you - giving you the ultimate, terror-inducting fright!
While there's no age restrictions here, you'll want to make sure that your kids are mature enough to handle the scary thrills inside. Pregnant women and those with heart conditions are not advised to enter. For everyone else...well, plan on having some nightmares for the rest of October!
Nightmare on 13th opened for the season on September 14th, and remains open through November 3rd. Get there early - you're not the only one who's looking forward to this freaky, fantastical, downright horrifying haunted house.
