There’s A Small Town In Utah Known For Its Truly Epic Burgers

Green River offers recreation, delicious watermelons, and epic burgers at Ray's Tavern.

There are plenty of reasons to visit the little town of Green River - the river offers tons of recreation opportunities, the watermelons grown here are sweet, juicy and delicious, and the town is also home to a little restaurant that serves some truly epic burgers.

Green River is located in the central-eastern part of the state, along I-70.

This little town has fewer than 1,000 residents, but it definitely has a lot to offer.

The river is a popular spot for all kinds of recreation, from fishing to whitewater rafting.

The John Wesley Powell River History Museum has some great displays and exhibits that will teach you more about the Green River and the Powell Expedition.

Everywhere you look here, there's another incredible outdoor adventure. Hike the Black Dragon Canyon Trail to see petroglyphs and some stunning views.

Goblin Valley State Park is just 49 miles from town.

Ray's Tavern opened here in 1943, and it's been serving up delicious food ever since. It's located at 25 S. Broadway.

It's the kind of place where you'll usually find several locals hanging out, enjoying lunch.

Everything on the menu at Ray's is good, but the burgers are absolutely epic.
