One of our favorite spots for breakfast and brunch is Finn's Cafe in Salt Lake City. It's got a Norwegian vibe, super friendly service, and the tastiest food ever.
Address: 1624 S. 1100 E., Salt Lake City, UT 84105
Finn's Cafe originally opened back in 1952. Located on Parley's Way, the restaurant was a neighborhood favorite. Finn Jr. and his wife, Vickey reopened the cafe in 2006, at its current location in the Sugarhouse area.
The neon sign gracing the top of the cafe is the original sign from the first location. This classic restaurant is all about family, history, and great food.
Speaking of great food, you haven't lived til you've tried the Eggs Benedict here. It's one of the house specialties, and you're going to want to bring your appetite, because it's served on toasted English muffins with Canadian bacon and a side of fresh hash browns.
For a true Norwegian treat, try the pyttipana, a classic dish that includes diced beef, potato, carrots and onions, topped with poached eggs and served with fresh vegetables on the side.
The Scandinavian Breakfast is a hearty meal, with poached red trout, two eggs, hash browns and toast.
No matter which dish you try, you're going to want a side of toast with some lingonberry jam.
The dining room at Finn's is cozy, but when the weather is warm you'll want to sit on the shady patio. The service here is always fast and friendly.
Visit Finn's Cafe for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. It's open every day of the week from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
