Archibald’s Restaurant In Utah Is Located In A Beautiful, Historic Flour Mill That Dates Back To 1877
Archibald's Restaurant in West Jordan, Utah, offers a unique dining experience inside a historic 1877 flour mill.
Utah's historic buildings are little treasure troves from our past. While some of those treasures are crumbling, others have found new purpose as office space, shops, and restaurants. There's a historic building at Gardner Village, and it's been a favorite dining spot for years. Check out Archibald's Restaurant:
Archibald's Restaurant is located inside an old flour mill that was built in 1877.
You'll find this lovely restaurant at Gardner Village in West Jordan.
The original waterwheel is still there - take a look at it before you walk in!
This spacious restaurant is chock-full of history, and you'll get that quaint vibe the moment you step into the lobby. Take a look at the old photos, antiques, and historic features all throughout the dining rooms.
Though the interior has been transformed from a flour mill to a beautiful dining space, many features of the original mill are present, including the stone walls.
In some areas of the restaurant, you can see some of the historic workings. Check out The Wheel Room, which is available for banquets.
The food at Archibald's is just as amazing as its atmosphere. You'll want to start with an order of the house specialty - fried green tomatoes, served with a special creamy salsa.
You'll find a host of sandwiches and burgers on the menu...
...and there are several fresh, crisp salads, too. A bowl of homemade soup is a perfect accompaniment.
Entrees include pasta dishes, seafood favorites, rib eye or flat iron steaks, and juicy, slow-roasted prime rib.
Finish your meal with a decadent dessert. The carrot cake is a favorite here, but you'll also want to watch for the dessert of the day, like this flourless chocolate cake.
Archibald's is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., closed Sunday.
