When it comes to towns in Wyoming, size does matter! For many Cowboy State residents, the smaller the better. 1. Buford, Wyoming
Buford may be the most well-known of Wyoming's small towns because it famously has a population of 1. The town has a single house, gas station, and post office... all in one spot.
2. Lost Springs, Wyoming
Lost Springs, located in the eastern part of the state, has a population of around 4. The town consists of a few buildings including a post office/general store, a small town park, and a municipal building.
3. Van Tassell, Wyoming
Van Tassell is located along the eastern part of the state and has a population of around 15! This little town is one that many people have never even heard of, let alone visited.
4. Riverside, Wyoming
Riverside is located in the southern part of the state and has a population of around 53. Even though there are only a few dozen people who live here, the town's two pubs keep everyone happy.
5. Hartville, Wyoming
Hartville is located in Platte County and has a population of around 62. It is the oldest incorporated town and is also home to the oldest bar in Wyoming — Miners and Stockmans. You can see the first-ever Wyoming jail from the parking lot!
6. Dixon, Wyoming
Dixon is located along the Little Snake River Valley and has a population of around 79. Dixon has a post office, motel, senior center, church, town park, maintenance shop, and two bars. Seems like they have their priorities straight.
7. Bairoil, Wyoming
Bairoil is located in the northeast corner of Sweetwater County and has a population of around 107. The town has a beautiful public park that's worth visiting if you want to get in touch with nature! Fuel up before you get here, though, because there isn't even a gas station.
8. Manderson, Wyoming
Manderson is located in Big Horn County and has a population of around 117. The town was originally called Alamo, but nobody seems to remember that. You'll find a bar and a cafe here.
9. Granger, Wyoming
Granger is a town in Sweetwater County with a population of around 140. You'll find this town tucked away where the Blacks Fork and the Hams Fork rivers meet.
10. Clearmont, Wyoming
Claremont is a town located in Sheridan County and has a population of around 142. You'll find a historic church, post office, and the Clearmont Town Jail all within a short walk.
