There are some real gems just waiting to be discovered. These towns all have less than 4,000 residents, and the restaurants are listed alphabetically.
1. Black Bear Cafe, Thermopolis
Whether you want a "Big Bear Plate" or a "Little Bear Plate (for lighter appetites)," breakfast at the Black Bear is just heavenly. 111 N. 5th Street, Thermopolis.
2. Cowboy Cafe, Lyman
The outside of this restaurant doesn’t begin to do it justice. The interior is nice, and the food is absolutely amazing. Don’t miss out on the homemade pie for dessert. 2797 County Road 231, Lyman
3. The Historic Wolf Hotel And Restaurant, Saratoga
This cool hotel and restaurant was built in 1893. Even if you can’t stay overnight, make sure you try the smothered burritos. 101 E. Bridge Street, Saratoga.
4. Jody's Diner, Evanston
Jody’s is located in an old gas station, but don’t let the exterior fool you...this is some seriously tasty food. Breakfast seems to be the specialty here, but the burgers are great, too. 260 Bear River Drive, Evanston
5. Outpost Cafe, Lusk
Great service, fair prices and really tasty food. The cod and fries bucket is particularly popular. 1011 S. Main Street, Lusk
6. Rocky Mountain Seafood, Afton
Seafood in Wyoming? Absolutely! Everything here is delicious, but don’t miss their unique Shrimp Bread. 492 S. Washington Street, Afton
7. Twisters, Guernsey
Whether you’re in the mood for a fancy prime rib dinner, or just want a delicious burger, this cute little place has it! 84 N. Wyoming Avenue, Guernsey
8. Wind River Brewing Company, Pinedale
Not only does Wind River brew some amazing beer, the pub food is delicious! 402 W. Pine Street, Pinedale.
9. Yaccos Corner Bakery, Wheatland
This little gem in Wheatland has all the delicious things you’d expect from a bakery, plus some really tasty sandwiches and pizza. 701 9th Street, Wheatland.
10. Zheng Zong, Fort Bridger
Chinese and Thai food in Fort Bridger! This little place is one of the best kept secrets in Wyoming. 21 7th Street, Fort Bridger.
