The Minature Train Ride In Wyoming Everyone Will Absolutely Love

From cars to houses, tiny things are trending, and Wyoming has a train ride that fits right in with the fad. Appropriately enough, you'll find Cheyenne Steamers in the Railroad Capital of the U.S. Billed as wholesome family entertainment, this miniature train ride delivers big fun for kids of all ages, 1 to 100. Train buffs love it, but so does everyone else who hitches a ride on the teeny little train.

The Cheyenne Steamers miniature train chugs along a track at 1530 West Lincoln Way in Cheyenne.

A tiny replica of engines and train cars from Cheyenne's railroad history, this little train is still big enough to accommodate people of all ages and sizes.

The track for the mini train is about one-tenth of a mile long, taking visitors on a memorable ride.

With a little Devil's Tower replica and other miniaturized Wyoming attractions constructed on the grounds, this little train ride is like taking an abridged tour of the whole state.

The mini train is actually the first ride in what Cheyenne Steamers envision to be an entire amusement park.

The long-term plan is to eventually add other activities and rides such as a rope course, a carousel, and maybe even a roller coaster.

There is no cost to take this tiny train ride, though there is a suggested donation with all proceeds going toward the maintenance of the equipment and eventual expansion of the park.

Suggested ticket prices are $2.50/ride or $8 for a day pass.

The train runs daily from 10 a.m. top 6 p.m. all summer long.

Because Wyoming weather is a crap shoot, the schedule is as the weather permits after September.

During the winter, you can see the mini locomotives on display around Cheyenne...

...many times, along with an impressive set up of even tinier trains.

You can usually find out more about wintertime display of the little locomotives - as well as seasonal hours and announcements - on the Cheyenne Steamers Facebook page.

Whether you ride along or simply come to see the trains and enjoy the history and surroundings, Cheyenne Steamers' miniature train offers a delightful way to spend the day.
