1. Clark, Wyoming

Just a bit north of Cody, you'll find the cozy rural community of Clark. Plus, you'll get an eyeful of the magnificent fall colors along the way.

2. Casper, Wyoming

You may want to make more than a day of it when you visit Casper in the fall. There are so many autumn events you might have to stay on through Thanksgiving. The city and miles around it are ablaze with fall foliage, and there is a corn maze, farmers market, a pumpkin patch, the Fremont Canyon Jam music festival, cemetery tours, and a haunted tour of Fort Caspar.

3. Cheyenne, Wyoming
