So you've got a friend in from out of town? Look, we're not saying to NOT make the trip to Lambeau Field or NOT eat as much cheese as possible. You should eat all the cheese. But here are 10 underrated places to show your friend what Wisconsin has to offer.
1. Olbrich Botanical Gardens
Madison offers the best botanical gardens in the state. And guess what? The outdoor garden is FREE.
2. Taliesin
Head to Spring Green with your guest and explore Frank Lloyd Wright's gorgeous home.
3. National Railroad Museum
Yes, there is something else to do in Green Bay other than head to Lambeau. Even those not obsessed with trains will thoroughly enjoy this museum.
4. New Glarus
People come here for the beer, but stay for the beautiful town and excellent restaurants.
5. Willow River State Park
Wisconsin has plenty of gorgeous state parks to choose from, but you'll be hard pressed to beat this Hudson spot, where water tumbles down into a 200 foot gorge.
6. Bayfield
People head up here on their way to see the Apostle Islands, but spend some time in this town. If you can get up there for a sled dog race, all the better.
7. Door Shakespeare
Where can you see a wonderful performance of Shakespeare, outside, and in the middle of the forest?

Some of the most interesting and innovative art available in Wisconsin is in downtown Sheboygan at the Kohler Arts Center.

Quaint, historic buildings, an artistic flair, and excellent restaurants make this town an ideal place to bring a guest.
10. Port Washington
With its lake views and New England style charm, Port Washington has the feel of a Door County town, but with less foot traffic.
