The Tiny Town In Washington With The Most Mouthwatering Restaurant
About an hour north of Seattle is the tiny town of La Conner, located in the beautiful Skagit Valley. While it can get pretty packed during the annual Tulip Festival in April, ordinarily only about 900 people call it home. But for such a small spot on the map, there are some delicious dining options here… especially Nell Thorn Restaurant & Pub.
You’ll find Nell Thorn nestled along the banks of the Swinomish Channel, so you’ll enjoy waterfront dining.
The menu here is full of fresh, local, high quality delicacies.
The only cans you’ll find in their pantry are of organic coconut milk and field ripened tomatoes. The owners and chefs, Susan and Casey, believe food should be fresh, clean, sustainable and as local and organic as possible.
Both Susan and Casey have a background in the restaurant industry and a personal interest in food.
This must be why every single entree at Nell Thorn is so delicious.
The ambiance here is laid back, warm and inviting, though the menu could be classified as fine dining.
Originally Susan and Casey had white linens on the tables, but since so many people only bring casual clothing to La Conner, they didn’t want them to feel uncomfortable.
Dinner is served daily here, and the menu has something to please every palate.
You’ll find seafood classics, bistro salads, pasta and meat entrees. Lunch is served Tuesday-Sunday as well.
Try to get a table with a view. Just trust us.
And in the summertime, you can dine outdoors.
Have you ever been to Nell Thorn? Believe it or not, some of Washington’s best restaurants can be found in our small towns.
