Play With Kangaroos At The Outback Kangaroo Farm, Then Explore Haller Park In Washington

We all need time to indulge our inner child and to just have fun. That's pretty easy to do, too, especially when animals are involved. Whether you love animals or not, you'll likely find yourself utterly smitten with the adorable residents of this wildlife park, the first stop in what promises to be an epic day trip in Washington.

Look for the kangaroo and an arrow on the side of the road, announcing that you've arrived at The Outback Kangaroo Farm in Arlington.

The seasonal park welcomes guests to take a 45-minute guided tour, where you'll get to meet some of the adorable residents - kangaroos, wallabies, and lemurs, to name just a few.

Alpacas, Nigerian dwarf goats, mini donkeys, and emus also call the farm home.

You'll learn a whole lot about the animals but, perhaps even better, you'll have the chance to interact with many of them, too.

Guided tours are offered on select days from March through October.

After you've visited with the animals, make the short five-minute drive to nearby Hallar Park, the perfect destination for a bit of relaxation.

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the whole family can cool off at the spray park or wade in the river. Or, kick back and relax while the kids have fun at the playground.

The cozy 2.5-acre park, which also features a beach and hiking trails, boasts gorgeous views of the Stillaguamish River. It's perfect for watching the sunset.
