The Remote Winery In Washington That’s Picture Perfect For A Day Trip

To say that Washington has some beautiful wineries is a huge understatement. Our wine industry is booming, and our sprawling vineyards often sit next to some gorgeous tasting rooms. Located in Benton County near the Columbia River, the Columbia Crest winery produces some of our most popular wine. It also happens to be an ideal day trip destination.

Columbia Crest opened their doors in 1983, and they've been popular ever since.

The Columbia Valley has the perfect wine-growing climate, so quite a few vineyards have made their home here.

The wine produced here has won numerous awards, including the very first "Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year" from Wine Press Northwest in 2002.

They're well known for their Chardonnay and bargain Bordeauxs.

Columbia Crest is open to visitors daily from 10 AM - 4 PM.

You can taste flights in the tasting room, sip a glass of wine on the patio, and stay for a picnic to enjoy the property as much as possible.

You'll want to stay as long as possible to enjoy this peaceful place.

If you'd like to delve a little deeper into the wine-making process, you can go on a free self-guided tour during the week or schedule a $25 Reserve Tour anytime.

You'll learn how quality, heritage, and innovation of grape growing and winemaking go into every bottle of Columbia Crest wine.

Every acre of this property is beautiful.

You'll find beautiful wineries in nearly every part of our state. Here are 15 of our favorites.
