Christmas In These 7 Washington Towns Looks Like Something From A Hallmark Movie
Discover the best small towns in Washington to spend a magical Christmas holiday.
No matter how you might feel about the holiday season, Christmastime in Washington is definitely visually stunning. And some of our city streets are decked out in such beautiful decor, you can't help but get into the holiday spirit. If you have the chance to visit one of these spots this month, you're in for a treat.
1. Spokane
Downtown Spokane always looks magical during the holiday season. Visit River Park Square to see the giant Christmas tree and the dazzling lights.
2. Poulsbo
Poulsbo's streets and storefronts are currently decked out for the holidays. And when it snows, it really does look like a scene from a Hallmark movie here.
3. Anacortes
Between the Nutcracker Holiday Gift Show and other annual holiday events, Anacortes is especially charming this time of year. Their decorations are low-key but lovely, creating a picturesque setting.
4. Stanwood
Stanwood is a small, peaceful town, and every December they light up the nights with the Lights of Christmas Festival at Warm Beach. The walk-through display gets better every year.
5. Shelton
Considering there are numerous Hallmark movies about Christmas tree farms, Shelton deserves a spot on this list since it's known as Christmas Town USA. The abundance of Christmas tree farms in the area, like Lynch Creek, are so beautiful this time of year.
6. Chehalis
This year's Santa Parade kicked off in Chehalis on December 1, but you'll still see lots of holiday magic when you go. Lewis County has gained a reputation for being one of the best places to shop for antiques, so this is a great place to look for unique gifts.
7. Leavenworth
All of these towns are delightful during the holiday season. But in Leavenworth, it's Christmas all year long.
