Vermont has some of the most stunning scenery you'll ever encounter, and we have compiled a list of towns where the views are simply amazing.  Here, it seems that all you need to do to admire the natural beauty is to simply take a breath and look around.  After all, each of the 251 towns has something amazing to offer.  It's up to us to stop and look around once in a while.  Here are 17 places in Vermont where the scenery is just breathtaking.

1. South Lincoln

A marvelous view north from Mt. Grant. The main ridge has Mt. Abraham & Mt. Ellen. Beyond is Camel's Hump and finally Mt. Mansfield in the far distance. These are 4 of the 5 mountains in Vermont over 4000 feet.

2. Vergennes

The view from Prospect Rock will be well worth the tired legs.
