The state park is a 625-acre property with a natural sand beach and is considered one of the largest beaches in Vermont.

Behind the sand beach exists spectacular black spruce swamps which are critical wetlands to many insects, animals and vegetation.

Because of the long beach, there is fabulous swimming to be found at Alburgh Dunes. Fishing, boating, and picnicking are all welcome and encouraged.
