Huntsville Is A Small Town In Utah That Offers Plenty Of Peace And Quiet

With a population of only 600 people, this underrated town is off the radar, but close to all the action. This small town is located inside the stunning Ogden Valley.

This is a quiet area, located in the middle of many wonderful things to do.

While you can explore the acres of rolling meadows beneath the mountains, you can also ski, hike, or check out the local reservoir. Huntsville has plenty of things to do, but at a more relaxed, enjoyable pace.

To the west of Huntsville lies the Pineview Reservoir.

This stunning man made lake is a popular vacation spot, and it’s easy to see why. The lake is almost 110,00 acres, with plenty of areas to have fun.

The reservoir offers tons of things to do, all spring and summer long.

Boat, fish, swim, or even stand up paddle through its calm waters. In fact, because the lake is surrounded by mountains, the water is usually glassy and still. This makes it a wonderful place for water sports.

There’s a wonderful ski resort nearby, Snowbasin Resort, that actually hosted the downhill skiing portion of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.

Snowbasin Resort is actually one of the oldest ski resorts in America. It was built in 1939, and has been in continuous operation since then!

Huntsville offers many great restaurants to visit, too.

You’ll find a saloon, steakhouse, cafe, and grill, among others. There’s a huge spread of food, from relaxed barbecue, to hearty fare at the ski lodge.
