The Most Charming College Town In Utah Is Home To Delicious Dining, Shopping, And More
I may be a bit biased but one of the most charming college towns in Utah is Logan. I attended Utah State University and through my work as a journalist in the area, I was able to explore, get to know the people who called the valley home, and simply fall in love with the entire area. While Logan is known as being home to USU, it is just the beginning of the things you can do in the area. In fact, Logan, Utah is home to incredible dining, shopping, and so much more.
Logan is located in northern Utah. It’s definitely not a teeny tiny town (and is growing like crazy!), but it still has a hometown feel to it.
Utah State University is a highlight of this town and is where more than 28,000 students receive their education. It is actually Utah’s largest public residential campus and also the only land grant institution in the Beehive State.
While there is something special about walking around campus, sitting on the Quad, and admiring the large “A” on Old Main, during a visit, spend some time walking through downtown Logan. Here, you will find shops, bookstores, and restaurants that have been in business for decades.
If you are hungry, head into Angie’s on Main Street. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you will not leave hungry. And if you are in for a fun food challenge, try to clean the sink — a sink of ice cream that is!
There is nothing like time outdoors and Logan Canyon is one of the best. You can always explore the canyon on its scenic drive …
… or stop at areas like Tony Grove Lake. In the summer, this is one of the best places in Utah for viewing summer wildflowers.
And if you have little ones with you, stop into Stokes Nature Center located near the mouth of the canyon. Here, you’ll find all types of activities to learn more about the great outdoors and the Cache Valley area.
But no matter what you choose to do, it’s easy to fall in love with one of the most charming college towns in Utah — I sure did.
