As a Marriott Bonvoy Member, Here Are 5 Hotels I’m Booking in 2026

I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member and a big fan of the company's hotels across all its brands (with a strong preference for Courtyards). When I'm traveling, I'll usually check for a Courtyard before I even start thinking about other properties. With such a wide selection in its portfolio, though, I'm almost always able to find a Marriott property—with all the consistency and quality that comes with it—wherever I go. In the coming year, I have a few short trips planned, and these are the hotels I've got my eye on.

1. SpringHill Suites by Marriott: Springdale, Utah

SpringHill Suites by Marriott - Springdale Zion National Park is located in the heart of Springdale, Utah, just minutes from the west entrance to Zion National Park. This property punches well above its weight and feels more like an upscale lodge than a chain hotel. The architecture and decor feature natural wood and stone that blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. Its unbeatable location makes it a perfect base camp for exploring both Zion and the charming town of Springdale.

What makes it a great place to stay is the immersion in nature. The outdoor pool and hot tub offer unobstructed, panoramic views of the massive red sandstone cliffs, allowing you to soak in the scenery after a long day of hiking. The last time I stayed, I arrived at night, and when I opened my window to the red rock views, I literally gasped. The suites are spacious and modern, and the outdoor patios with fire pits are perfect for stargazing. This hotel offers the reliability of a Marriott property and the affordability of the SpringHill Brand with the vibe of a luxury canyon resort.

2. Fairfield Inn and Suites Waterfront: Port Clinton, Ohio

Fairfield by Marriott Inn and Suites Port Clinton Waterfront is perfectly situated along Ohio's Lake Erie shoreline. This property takes full advantage of its waterfront location with a lakeside patio where you can enjoy your morning coffee or your favorite evening beverage while watching boats drift by. It is also conveniently located near the Jet Express ferry, making it the perfect launchpad for day trips to Put-in-Bay or Kelleys Island. Plus, Cedar Point is only about half an hour from the hotel.

What impresses me, though, are the lake views. Unlike many hotels that claim to be "near" the water, this one sits right on the Lake Erie shoreline—minutes from the iconic Port Clinton lighthouse. Some rooms even boast balconies that look out over the lake, toward the Perry’s Victory monument. With a complimentary hot breakfast and a bright, modern indoor pool area, this Fairfield is an excellent value for folks looking for a lake vacation in Ohio.

3. Courtyard by Marriott Oceanfront: Carolina Beach, North Carolina

If you're a beach lover, you won't do much better than Courtyard by Marriott Carolina Beach Oceanfront. Every single guest room at this hotel is oceanfront and features a private balcony overlooking the Atlantic. You are guaranteed a front-row seat to the sunrise and the sound of crashing waves, without paying for an upgrade or risking a “partial view.”

Located nearly on the sand and the vintage Carolina Beach Boardwalk, the property offers immediate access to dining, shopping, and, of course, the beach. The property has both indoor and outdoor pools, ensuring you can swim regardless of the weather.

4. Hotel Saint Louis, Autograph Collection: St. Louis, Missouri

While I've visited St. Louis a handful of times, I've never stayed right downtown, so I'm excited about the prospect of spending a few nights at the Hotel Saint Louis, Autograph Collection. Housed in the historic Union Trust Building, designed by legendary architect Louis Sullivan, the hotel is a masterpiece of early skyscraper architecture. It captures the soul of St. Louis by blending 19th-century grandeur—apparent in the lobby’s arched stained-glass ceiling—with modern boutique luxury.

I'm particularly eager to test the FORM Skybar's skill with old-fashioneds. Located atop the hotel, the lounge offers some of the best views of downtown St. Louis. Not a bad backdrop for an evening cocktail, if you ask me. The guest rooms are upscale, featuring modern amenities such as smart mirrors and premium bedding. It's perfect for travelers who want a property with a full-service spa, a distinct personality, and a sprinkle of history.

5. Courtyard by Marriott Downtown/Lake Union: Seattle, Washington

Because I have friends in the area, I'm a frequent traveler to the Seattle area. Because it's a metropolitan area with such a variety of sights and activities, I haven't booked a hotel more than once. For my next trip, I've got my eye on the Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Downtown/Lake Union. Located right across from Lake Union, it's an ideal spot for being close to the action—the Space Needle and the Museum of Pop Culture are just a short walk away—but prefer a more scenic view. The hotel's vibe is nautical and relaxed, reflecting the neighborhood's maritime history. Personally, I'm looking forward to a front-row seat to one of the city's most dynamic areas.

While I'm looking forward to these five trips, I'm certain to get some others under my belt in the coming year—and I'll most likely be staying at a Marriott Bonvoy property to rack up points.
