The Small Town In Texas That’s One Of The Coolest In The U.S.
Round Top, Texas, is a unique small town known for its music institute, Shakespeare program, antique shows, and famous pies.
Round Top, between Houston and Austin, is a sleepy little town of less than 100 people. It may not seem like anything special at first, but trust me - it's one of the coolest towns in Texas. Here's why:
Round Top might seem like an ordinary Texas small town at first because it has all the common fixtures like a general store and Southern cafe...
...but it couldn't be further from ordinary. This is the Festival Hill music institute, which hosts phenomenal symphonic performances and invites students to come learn more about their craft from experts.
And this gorgeous building is home to the Shakespeare at Winedale program, which puts on spectacular plays that nobody would expect in such a sleepy little town.
Round Top is also known for its antique shows that have been rated some of the best in the nation.
They have fall, spring, and winter shows where you'll find everything from vintage soda bottles to sacred treasures from all over the world.
Royer's Cafe is nationally known for its amazing pies and attracts visitors from all over the country.
Apple, peach, and nearly every other flavor under the sun is served, and you'll taste the love and passion poured into them in every bite.
And even though Round Top has plenty of attributes that set it apart, some things - like unforgettable Texas sunsets - remind us that it's still home.
