It has pulled a complete 180, rejuvenating its tired southern stereotype into an up-and-coming town that fosters business and holds our beautiful state at the pinnacle of it all. If you've ever made your way down to Nashville - or if you're lucky enough to live here - one of these fifteen things have most likely happened to you. But really.

15. Casually shopping for milk with Carrie Underwood.

This is a real thing that happens - you just may find yourself picking up arugula with T. Swift or haggling over almond butter with Keith Urban. It just happens.

14. Paying $7 for espresso shots - and feeling good about it.

Coffee culture is worth the investment, especially if you're headed to Barista Parlor or Crema.

13. Taking a jog by the Parthenon.

As the only to-scale replica of the original in Athens, the Parthenon in Nashville is quite the sight to see.

The Tomato Art Festival with run for its fourteenth year in a row from August 11th to 12th this year. Taking place in East Nashville, it's a fun conglomeration of music and artists and community that makes for a fabulous weekend.

The Nash Trash Tour is known as one of the best tours to take around Music City. It's great for visitors and locals alike, so make sure to figure a reservation ahead of time. PS: No bachelor or bachelorette parties are allowed, so make sure to plan your crazy pre-wedding tours elsewhere in town.

She's been known to do yoga in the park...but don't approach the celebrities, folks. They come to Nashville for peace and quiet - Los Angeles can supply the crazy.

We don't really go here...but really. It's a one time visit, but the Johnny Cash Museum downtown is a favorite!

The Bluebird Cafe rocketed to stardom after it was featured in the show, "Nashville," although here in Tennessee is has always been a game changer. Folks like Taylor Swift and Garth Brooks played here, before those sold out stadiums called their names.

Yep, head on down to Broadway and whet your whistle on Honky Tonk Highway. We'd recommend ducking in to Tootsie's!

3. Make sure you attend a Sounds game at the new stadium!

First Tennessee Park is located just outside the ring of downtown, and it's a great place to snag a quick game and enjoy America's greatest past time during the heat of the summer months.

Located on 16th and 17th Avenues, Music Row is housed in a residential neighborhood at the foot of Belmont University. It's worth a drive through, because this is the only place you'll find it.
