South Dakota is filled with rich culture, history, and scenic views that we are unlike anywhere else. There are also many reasons why the rest of the U.S. should be thankful for South Dakota. Here are a few of them.

1. South Dakota's agriculture industry feeds the nation.

2. And we grow especially yummy sweet corn.

3. The other corn we grow helps keep fuel prices cheaper through ethanol.

4. We also create a lot of the nation's wind energy.

5. Our beef production is on point.

6. South Dakota is home to the hardworking people that make all that food and energy production possible.

7. The host of everyone's favorite game show, Bob Barker, is from South Dakota.

8. We are also the home state of Terry Redlin, whose art never ceases to amaze.

9. For the sports fans, you can thank SD for NBA superstar Mike Miller.

10. Plus, we are home to Mount Rushmore.
