The town of Platte is located east of the Missouri River, just off SR-44. It's kind of off the beaten path, but it's a little gem you'll want to discover.
This adorable little town was settled in the early 1880s. Today, it has around 1,400 residents, but don't let its size fool you - this pretty place has plenty to see and do.
Main Street is lined with trees and filled with historic buildings.

The community hosts an annual walleye fishing contest every May.
Play in Platte is a community event held every summer, with games, food, local crafts and more.
The Lake Platte Golf Course challenges golfers of all abilities on its nine-hole course.
Hunting is a popular fall activity here, where you'll find plenty of pheasants.
Snake Creek Recreation Area is the perfect place to spend an afternoon outdoors. Go boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and more in this scenic spot.
