Take This Ultimate Ocean View Drive In Rhode Island To See Stunning Sites Like Never Before

Nicknamed the Ocean State, the state of Rhode Island offers one of the most stunning coastlines in the nation. This can be enjoyed through visiting the state's beaches, dining at local seafood restaurants, and in so many other ways! One great way to experience the Rhode Island coast is to take the scenic route.

Historic routes abound throughout Rhode Island and New England, but none are as legendary as Route 1 which runs across much of the nation!

While Route 1 makes for a lovely trip, its scenic offshoot known as Route 1A offers much more beauty.

For a gorgeous drive filled with stunning ocean views, start Route 1A in the charming village of Wickford.

You'll then travel through Narragansett and notice some beautiful sites such as the Coast Guard House and the Narragansett Pier.

Keep going and you'll pass through several parks, nature preserves, and lookout points. Take your time and stop off for plenty of pictures!

You'll end up at Misquamicut Beach in Westerly before the route continues into Connecticut.

There are plenty of great places to stop for lunch found along the route including tons of options in Wickford, Iggy's in Narragansett, and even the Coast Guard House! Make sure to bring your beach gear so you can visit the many beaches along the way.
