Snow just makes everything so bright, so pretty, especially as it's tumbling down in big snowflakes. And, it often makes us feel as though we've stepped into a real life winter wonderland. If you're still on the hunt for day trips or weekend getaways this winter, plan a visit to this tiny Pennsylvania village that looks as though it belongs on a holiday greeting card.

Journey to the enchanting village of Eagles Mere, home to only 150 year round residents, to experience a magical winter wonderland, especially after a fresh snowfall.

Stroll through the charming village, where you can snap photos of a picturesque footbridge, a snow-capped gazebo, and snow-covered boats, waiting for spring to arrive.

Then, start exploring all the tiny village has to offer - from Eagles Mere Air Museum to the Eagles Mere Museum.

And, if you're visiting on a cold winter day, make a beeline for Lake Avenue for a little old-fashioned winter fun.

There, you can climb aboard a toboggan and zip down the hill. Head back up the hill and slide down again before warming up with hot chocolate at the bottom of the hill.

By now, you're probably craving something delicious to stop that grumbling in your stomach. Sit down for a delightfully delicious meal at AC Little's Drinkery or The Barn Tavern.

How about a little after lunch or dinner shopping? Don't forget to stop by Eagles Mere Country Store and Eagles Mere Book Store.
