You’ll Love A Trip To Oregon’s Longest Pier That Stretches Infinitely Into The Sea

Garibaldi, a quiet fishing village on the Oregon Coast, features Pier's End, Oregon's longest pier, ideal for fishing, bird watching, and enjoying ocean views.

Unlike many of the towns on the Oregon Coast, Garibaldi is a quiet little fishing village. With a population of just 801 and a picturesque location, this is the place to go if you're looking to get away from it all. The next time you find yourself in town, check out Pier's End. Oregon's longest pier is a great spot to fish, bird watch, and soak in breathtaking ocean views. Take a look:

Garibaldi is located on Tillamook Bay on the Northern Oregon Coast.

Here, you'll find Pier's End.

At over 700 feet, Oregon's longest pier seems to stretch infinitely into the ocean.

The pier is easily accessible via a paved walkway.

Once you reach it, you'll be treated to astounding coastal views.

You'll know you're heading in the right direction when you spot this sign.

As you walk the length of the pier, you'll be treated to views of Tillamook Bay.

You'll also catch a glimpse of boats in the harbor.

The pier is open to the public and is a lovely spot to stroll.

It's a common spot for locals and visitors to go crabbing and fishing for sturgeon, salmon, and other bottom fish.

There is also a small stairway that leads from the pier down to publically accessible clam beds below.

Near the end of the pier stands a historic building that once served as a boathouse for the Coast Guard.

The Pier's End boathouse was used between 1934 and the early 1960s.

Whether you're here to fish, watch for seabirds, or just take in the views, Pier's End is a little (but long!) hidden gem.

And it makes for some great photo ops!

If you stop by at sunset (which we highly suggest you do), be prepared to have your breath taken away by the beauty awaiting you.

To reach the parking area right in front of Pier's End, take 12th Street from U.S. Highway 101, then turn right onto Bay Lane. It's hard to miss! For more information, as well as other cool spots in this tiny town, check out the Visit Garibaldi website here.
