They don't have to be big in size to charm you, but that's exactly what these 11 teeny, tiny towns in Oklahoma will do. Check them out and if you ever drive through them, don't blink or you just might miss them.

1. Slapout

With a population of around 8, the tiny town of Slapout is located in Beaver County in the Panhandle region of the state.

2. Ames

Best known for its location of the Ames Crater, Ames tiny population has seen a 20% increase over the last few years, going from 199 to 239 residents.

3. Lone Wolf

Tucked away in southwestern Oklahoma, Lone Wolf is home to the beautiful Quartz Mountain Resort overlooking Lake Altus. The population of the tiny town is just over 400 residents.

4. Gate

With a population of just under 100 residents, Gate is located in Beaver County. The charming Avery's Grocery Market is a quaint little stop to check out while passing through town.

5. Meers

The only thing left in the tiny town of Meers is the famous Meers Store & Restaurant. Make sure you don't blink or you'll definitely miss this place.

6. Perkins

As the largest town on the list, Perkins population is around 2800 residents. The charming town is located in Payne County and is home to the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma.

7. Taloga

Located near the southern bank of the Canadian River, Taloga means "beautiful valley" or "rocking water." The population of the town is just shy of 300 residents.

8. Foss

Foss is a small agricultural center located in Washita County. The town's population has grown over the years and now has 151 residents.

9. Wakita

Home to the filming of the Hollywood blockbuster, Twister, Wakita now houses a museum that contains many artifacts and memorabilia from the movie. The town is home to around 350 residents.

10. Freedom

Freedom is home to the Alabaster Caverns State Park and about 289 residents. The town is full of beautiful topography and wide open spaces waiting to be explored.

11. Slick

Once an oil boom town with close to 500 residents, Slick's population has declined over the years to about 130 residents. The tiny town is located in Creek County and is a close commute to Tulsa, Bristow and Sapulpa.
