A Drive Down Oklahoma’s Loneliest Highway Will Take You Miles And Miles Away From It All

As you know, Oklahoma is full of wide-open roads that are miles and miles away from everything, and one such place is Highway 412 in northwestern Oklahoma. There are two portions of Highway 412 (west to east) that surpass Route 46 in North Dakota for the longest straight road in America.
The first portion of this lonely, straight highway runs from Boise City to just west of Guymon and is straight for 47.7 miles.
The second section picks back up again from Hardesty to just east of Slapout for another 65.5 miles.
Be prepared to drive for miles and miles and see nothing but farmland. As you're driving down the highway, you'll see only the horizon in the distance...no structures around.
