Explore Talimena National Scenic Byway and Talimena State Park
Start your day by embarking on the Talimena National Scenic Byway, which offers some of the most breathtaking views of the Ouachita Mountains. Roll down those windows and enjoy the fresh Oklahoma air.
The 54-mile drive takes you through some of the most stunning scenery in the region, including dense forests, rolling hills, and panoramic vistas. There are several stops along the route where you can get out and explore the scenery.
At the beginning of the drive, you'll pass Talimena State Park, which is the first stop on this road trip.
Talimena State Park is one of the smaller state parks in the state with just over 20 acres.
