Claremore is home to a vibrant cultural heritage and has been the site of many historical events. The town was officially established in 1893 by the Cherokee Nation and was where Will Rogers attended grade school, which is what Claremont, OK, is known for. Later, Claremore grew into a popular stop for travelers on Route 66.
You can explore all of that cool history while you're in town. Start your day trip off with a visit to the Will Rogers Memorial Museum. With its impressive collection of artifacts and exhibits, this museum offers visitors a unique glimpse into the world of Will Rogers, the cowboy comedian and social commentator who captured the hearts of millions.
