The Unassuming Place In Ohio To Visit Before Word Gets Out
Contrary to what you might think, there's a lot to see in Ohio. That's why we have so many scenic overlooks (and even canopy walks.)
Ohio's newest observation tower showcases even more of Ohio's scenic beauty—because you just can't take it all in on the ground. Last month, Lake Erie Bluffs in Perry, Ohio (within the Lake Metroparks system) opened a 50-ft. coastal observation tower that features breathtaking views of the lake and bluffs. Check it out:
This stunning beachfront metropark features 600 acres, including 40-foot-high beach bluffs, 9,000 feet of shoreline and perfectly picturesque beaches.
Last September, the park just unveiled its newest addition: a 50-foot coastal observation tower.
The tower features 360-degree views and is open daily (weather permitting) during regular park hours from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
At nighttime, the tower will be lit. (Please note: The tower will be closed during the winter season.)
You can find the tower near the Clark Road entrance of the park.
Be sure to visit before the fall season ends. (Tip: It's especially stunning during sunset.
