One local brewery recently expanded its operation and opened a new location just north of the city in Monroe. Rivertown Brewery and Barrel House serves incredibly crafted beer, but there's so much more to it that it just may surprise you.

What began as a passion of owner Jason Roeper has now turned into a multi-location brewery and restaurant that is very much worth the hype.

Rivertown Brewery and Barrel House opened their Monroe location not too long ago and their already established Lockland operation is currently "closed for innovation," as the website says. Rivertown creates its own unique, award-winning beers, but this Monroe location offers even more.

The interior provides a fun atmosphere that is perfect for gathering with friends or even enjoying an outing with your family.

Monday evenings are Family Nights, but it's really a pretty family-friendly spot all of the time. There are plenty of TVs to catch the game and there are also a number of arcade games to entertain you.

The Monroe location is not only a brewery, but also an incredible restaurant specializing in beer-infused barbecue.

Their menu is diverse and pairs perfectly with something from their taps. The Bacon Jalapeño Wonton Rolls and Burnt End Deviled Eggs are unbelievable. They also offer tacos, sandwiches, flatbreads, and salads.
